Having a Personal Trainer QA
Why do I need a personal trainer?
There are many benefits to having a personal trainer, including inspiration,
the insurance of safe training, effective and tested exercises and a
one to one personal exercise service. The main benefit however is the
added enthusiasm and support you get from having a trainer. It has become
common knowledge, that unless you are constantly motivated it will be
very hard for you to push yourself every time you train. With a personal
trainer they are able using their motivational skills, to drive you in
order for you to get the results you want. There is also the added bonus
of personal monitoring, with a personal trainer they are able to alter
your diet, track your training and monitor your success.
Aren’t personal trainers expensive?
Actually no! Personal trainers have become very reasonably priced, and
in many cases a personal trainer will offer a door to door service,
which means you save money on overheads such as gym memberships or
fitness equipment. Also for the service provided you will receive a
very realistic price, as you have to consider that with a trainer you
are receiving a dietician, a nutritionist, an exercise professional
and a personal motivator.
Do I have to be serious about fitness to have a personal trainer?
Absolutely not! With the Personal Trainer IndeX we have a range of trainers
suited to train a variety of clients, so no matter whether you’re
an absolute beginner or an elite athlete, our personal trainers will
help you achieve your goals.
Can I be trained from home and do I need to have my own fitness equipment?
In many cases yes you will be able to be trained from home. It is very
much dependant on the trainer. On every trainers portfolio there is a section
which describes his training locations, if you wish to be trained in the
comfort of your own home, all you have to do is select a trainer who has
that option available. However many of the trainers will have their own
equipment, so you will not have to purchase any fitness equipment, however
due to travelling arrangements, some trainers may ask that you have some
basic equipment. The best way to find out is to contact the trainer or
trainers in which your interested and find out, they will be more than
happy to ask any questions you have.
Am I agreeing to a contract when I have a personal trainer?
In nearly all cases no, however if a trainer is offering a course, you
will normally be bound into a contract until the end of that course. However
if the trainer is offering single sessions there is no contract, and you
can choose to terminate your training at any point. It is important however
to mention at this point that the Personal Trainer IndeX is just a referral
site and that any agreements which you enter into with your trainer will
not be held accountable by us.
How long does a course with a trainer last for?
Courses with trainers can vary some trainers will offer an intensive
course which may be a shorter period, while some will offer a quarterly
course, which will last three months and some will only offer single hourly
sessions. The length of the course will very much depend on the trainer,
training types for all of the trainers is listed within their personal
portfolio so it is best to carefully read that, or alternatively, it would
be best to actually phone the trainer and ask what type of courses they offer.

What does the Personal Trainer IndeX offer me as a trainer?
The Personal Trainer IndeX is the complete personal trainer advertising package.
Our aim is to educate the public in the benefits of having a personal trainer,
and show them that the best way to reach their goals is with your support and
motivation. A feature which our website uses is ‘keywords optimisation.’ This
means for example that if somebody were to search for your name on a search
engine you could be found through our website by that search engine, which means
people don’t even have to search through the website to find you! Also
our website is unique in that it is fully maintained by a graphic designer and
artist, so all of the portfolios we list will have a professional artistic finish,
and will be edited to the highest quality. From Google to personal flyers our
goal is to give you as a personal trainer as much exposure as possible, as the
more people who know about your skills the more clients you should obtain.
How much advertising do you actually do?
In short, as much as possible. Our budget for advertising is ever
expanding with the more personal trainers who join our community. So
as you grow so do we. We aim to have three major marketing drives throughout
the year at specific times, in order to show the public, that the best
way to get themselves in shape is not through crazy unproven diets,
but through supported sensible eating and training. We also aim to
have various adverts posted in local newspapers, health clubs, beauticians
and other health and fitness related businesses throughout the year
so that our advertising is constant. Also unlike many other companies,
we have a helpline which any potential customers can call so one of
our team are able to give them advice over the phone personally.
Do I have to pay for the clients I receive?
Absolutely not! We do not charge for any clients who contact you through
our website, no matter how many times they use you or how much you
charge for your training. All you have to pay is your yearly subscription
and that’s it simple.
How long will it take for my portfolio to be uploaded onto the website?
We aim to have all trainers portfolios uploaded onto our website 48 hours after payment for
their membership has cleared.
What do I do if I already have a website?
That’s not a problem, as you will actually be able to link your
website through your portfolio. So in-fact our website will act as advertising
and exposure for yours. However we will not advertise any large personal
training companies as we are providing a fair and just service for self
employed personal trainers.
How do I upload all of my pictures, and what if I’m not very good with computers?
Not a problem, our website is designed and maintained by a fully qualified
and established graphic designer and artist. All you have to do is send
us all of your information digitally either on CD, DVD or through email,
(we can help you with this) and we will do all the rest. We will upload
all of your text and images onto our template and ensure that your portfolio
looks as professional as possible before it goes live.
Is there anybody I can talk to if I have any other questions?
Of course, if you do have any further questions please do feel free to
contact us either by phone on
020 88168528 or
by email at
info@personatrainerindex.co.uk.
